The Alps are simply stunning in the summer and the Lodge is perfectly placed to discover breathtaking walks, secret waterfalls and charming mountain restaurants.
Thanks to our proximity to some of the most famous road cycling routes in the world, a high proportion of our guests come with their bikes. The Oisans region has long been famous for cycling with its six different valleys leading to a number of often snow-lined mountain passes, solitary meandering roads along the banks of glacial-fed mountain streams and tiny picturesque villages steeped in history. Often the area is host to one of the signature mountain stages of the Tour de France. After a hard day exploring this vast area you will appreciate the easy route back to the Lodge along the valley floor.

For those looking for something other than cycling, we have limitless other possibilities on our doorstep. The mountain biking at both Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez will get the adrenaline pumping. There are also numerous beautiful cross-country routes down in the valley near the Lodge. In terms of other activities, our village is also right on the boundary to the Ecrins National Park, one of the largest and oldest parks in France that offers fantastic hiking, climbing and mountaineering opportunities. The most popular trip is the three hour round trip to Lac Lauvitel, where you are likely to see native marmots in their natural habitat. There are several outdoor pools in the area and white-water rafting.

During the summer, Les Deux Alpes transforms into a playground for children and adults alike. Walk along the lower slopes and you will discover amongst other things, the summer luge, quad bikes, horse riding, trampolines, beach volley ball, and the ice rink.
Vénosc, a picturesque village just up the road from the Lodge, has a children’s play area, an open air swimming pool with slide, tennis courts, a tree top adventure park and rafting centre.
