Catered Ski & Cycling Holidays - Les Deux Alpes - Alpe d'Huez - Getting Here
By Air
A real bonus of our location is its proximity to Grenoble airport – just 1 hr 15 mins by car. Ryanair flies to Grenoble all year from various destinations in the UK and Ireland and in the winter Easyjet also offers a service for skiing. Rental cars can be ordered in advance and we would be happy to help you with any of your transfer arrangements, including organising private transfers or advising on public transport options.
We are also close to Chambery airport (1 hr 30 mins ), Lyon St Exupéry airport (1 hr 45 mins) and Geneva airport (2 hrs 30 mins), which are served by a wide range of low-cost and mainstream airlines.
By Train
Our nearest train station is Grenoble. For reservations, book here.
By Bus
“During the winter Ben’s Bus runs a scheduled coach service from Grenoble airport to Les Deux Alpes and it can be arranged for them to drop you very near the Lodge where we can pick you up. The cheapest way to get from the airport to the Lodge is via the Transisère public bus service which runs buses from Grenoble airport to the city centre and then on to Bourg d’Oisans. They have plenty of space for skis, snowboards and bike bags.”
By Car
From Calais, take the A26 to Reims then Troyes. Join up with the A5 to Dijon then the A31 and the A6 to Lyon. Here follow the A46 ring road until you find the A43 in the direction of Grenoble. Take the A48 continuing on towards Grenoble. At the Grenoble toll continue into town following signs for Briançon on the Rocade Sud. At junction 8 take the N85 and again follow signs to Briançon, Stations D’Oisans and Vizille. Continue on through Vizille up the valley for 35km until you reach Bourg D’Oisans. Continue on past Bourg in the direction of Briançon for another 5 km on a straight flat road. When the main road is about to turn left up the hill toward Les Deux Alpes, head straight on along the smaller D530 towards Vénosc. After 4km you will come across a small settlement called Les Ougiers. Instantly after this you turn right over the river in the direction of La Danchère. After another 100 metres take the right fork towards our village of Les Gauchoirs. After crossing a stream, our Lodge is the second on the right just below the road. Park in the area before the first wooden chalet and walk down the small path.
