Down Hill and Free Ride
The lifts of Les Deux Alpes mountain resort are only a five minute drive or 15 minute cycle ride from our Lodge. From here you access one of the world’s best areas for mountain biking. Recently Les Deux Alpes has invested in upgrading their facilities to encourage more mountain bikers to its slopes.
It now features nine lifts adapted to carry your mountain bikes, accessing almost 110km of cross country, free ride and downhill tracks ranging in altitudes from 3200m down to 700m, as well as three specific downhill courses and a freestyle terrain park.
For the experienced or brave, it’s possible to ride from Les Deux Alpes glacier right down to our front door in an almost entirely downhill run of over 25km. The area is now so popular for mountain biking that last year Les Deux Alpes was the host for the 2006 mountain biking world cup.
Also within a 20 minute drive is Alp D’Huez mountain resort which is equally committed to offering incredible mountain biking opportunities.
Cross Country
The region itself offers unlimited opportunities to explore hundreds of kilometres of cross country tracks with the possibility of linking tours with overnight stop-offs in mountain refuges. One of these tracks runs directly through our property for 30km up the valley, well into the Ecrins National Park.
